Why Have a Live Wedding Painter?

There are numerous reasons you’d love to book a live wedding painter for your special occasion. Live wedding painting has the ability to leave you and your guests with both the unique memory of your special day and a tangible piece of it captured and preserved on canvas ready to be passed down for generations to come.

Booking Process

  1. Inquire: After reviewing the pricing and detailed information. Submit an inquiry form to check availability for your day.

  2. Design Consultation: We will go over details of your day and selected moment.

  3. Book/Reserve: Reserve your day with the 25% retainer.

  4. Event Day & Delivery: After the event, I will complete final details and apply a protective varnish in the studio. Your finalized heirloom is then delivered within 10-12 weeks.

Final package price may increase based on selected add-ons and travel requirements. Pets maybe added during the studio refinement stage using reference photos unless requested. Rush completion is expedited post event finishing and delivery. All travel logistics and fees are finalized and confirmed prior to officially booking. No hidden fees.

Full Moon Package

Starting at $2,750 + Sales Tax

What’s included:

  • One 30 × 24” gallery wrapped canvas acrylic painting

  • Up to 7-9 hours of on-site live wedding painting

  • Studio refinement after event

  • Varnish finish

  • Delivery within 10-12 weeks

A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date.

New Moon Package

Starting at $1,750 + Sales Tax

What’s included:

  • One 16 × 20” gallery wrapped canvas acrylic painting

  • Up to 5-6 hours of on-site live wedding painting

  • Studio refinement after event

  • Varnish finish

  • Delivery within 10-12 weeks

A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date.

Crescent Package

Starting at $2,500 + Sales Tax

What’s included:

  • One 18 × 24” gallery wrapped canvas acrylic painting

  • Up to 6-7 hours of on-site live wedding painting

  • Studio refinement after event

  • Varnish finish

  • Delivery within 10-12 weeks

A 25% non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date.

Travel & Lodging

Local: Included within 15 miles of Alexandria, VA.

Extended Travel: Events beyond 15 miles, will have an additional travel fee based on distance and location.

Destination: Events 3+ hours away, may require additional travel fees, and up to 1-2 nights of lodging.

My Live Painting Process

  1. Design consultation: Where we will talk about your vision, review the chosen moment, event timeline, as well as address any other important information.

  2. Event Day - Preparation & Setup: I arrive 2-3 hours prior to the ceremony to set up and paint the desired background.

  3. Capturing the Moment: I take a photo/reference of the selected moment for the painting.

  4. Live Painting Experience: As the event unfolds, I continue painting live where guests are able to observe and interact with the artwork and me.

  5. The Reveal: Before the evening concludes, I will reveal the painting to the couple (couple can always check in during the painting progress if they prefer).

  6. Studio Refinement: The painting is not fully completed at the event, I will take the painting to the studio to refine details and apply a protective varnish over the painting.

  7. Delivery: Once complete, the finished heirloom is carefully packaged and either shipped or hand-delivered (if local) within 10-12 weeks.

  • Varnish is the process of apply a clear top coat to seal and protect your finished painting from dust, dirt moisture, and ultraviolet (UV) light damage. Think of it like clear top coat for fingernails but this is specifically for artwork! After I fully finish the painting with studio touch ups, it needs to dry for a week before I apply the varnish. When the varnish is applied, it sits and cures for 3 to 7 days.
