What is Live Wedding Painting?
Live wedding painting is a form of fine art performance that captures a meaningful moment from your celebration as it unfolds in real time. I recreate your chosen moment on canvas on-site, transforming it into a timeless heirloom to be cherished for years to come.
My process:
Design consultation: This is where we will talk through your vision and what details that matter to you. We will review your chosen moment, event timeline, and any other elements you would like incorporated into the composition.
Event Day - Preparation & Setup: I arrive 2-3 hours prior to the ceremony to set up my workspace and paint the desired background and it’s elements.
Capturing the Moment: During the celebration, I take a photo and reference your selected moment for the painting. (for example: the first kiss at the ceremony or special embrace)
Live Painting Experience: As reception unfolds, I continue painting live where guests are able to observe the artwork come to life. This interactive element becomes part of the celebration itself.
The Reveal: Before the evening concludes, I will reveal the painting to the couple.
Studio Refinement: The painting is not fully completed at the event, I will take the painting to the studio to refine details and apply a protective varnish.
Delivery: Once complete, your finished heirloom is carefully packaged and either shipped or hand-delivered (if you’re local) within 6-10 weeks.

A 25% retainer is required to secure your wedding date.
Final package price may increase based on selected add-ons and travel requirements. Pets are typically added during the studio refinement stage using reference photos. Rush completion is expedited post event finishing and delivery. All travel logistics and fees are finalized and confirmed prior to booking.

Travel & Lodging
Local: Included within 15 miles of Alexandria, VA.
Extended Travel: For events beyond 15 miles, a travel fee is applied based on current transportation costs.
Destination: Events 3+ hours away, a travel fee is applied based on current transportation costs, plus may require up to 1-2 nights of lodging.
Prefer a Studio-Created Painting?
For couples who prefer a fully studio-created piece. Custom wedding and engagement paintings are available based on professional photography references. Each piece is meticulously crafted in the studio. Price depends on canvas size.
